POPEYE'S CHICKEN SANDWICH RATING

Plain and simple, this was a delicious bite. Those signature seasonings were front and center. The pickle was a nice touch as well. I will say that the Spicy version of the sandwich is far superior to the original.

THE QUESTION: Was it better than Chick-fil-a? 

I will say this... Popeye's Spicy Chicken Sandwich is the winner when it comes to down to who's "Spicy" version is better.  HOWEVER, it must be mentioned that the Chick-fil-a Original is still the supreme chicken sandwich when compared with Popeye's Original.

I honestly think that the true competitive edge that Popeye's has is the greater focus on "crisp factor" ... it could be said that many have merely marveled at something Popeye's has always excelled at.  The delightful light crunch you get with every juicy bite is uncanny and elevates the Spicy Sandwich to new levels of enjoyment. It somehow enhances the impact of the spices and creates a flavor bomb in your mouth.

 I love the packaging for these. Considering what I had to endure to get these, its like a bag or sought after treasure. The line ran out of the door and around the building. The drive through was also packed.  I believe that the struggle of trying to get the sandwich itself was all a part of this dining experience and made the end product more delicious via "accomplishment placebo" ...
